Yamazaki Distiller's Reserve (43%, 70cl)

DESCRIPTION

One of two Distiller’s Reserve single malt whiskies from Suntory. This single malt bursts with red fruits and berries due to maturation in Bordeaux wine casks and Sherry casks. It also features malt matured in Mizunara casks, thus adding subtle fragrant oak notes.

TASTING NOTES

• Nose: Classic Yamazaki strawberries and dried fruits with floral notes coming from the Mizunara wood. Fragrant sandalwood and a tinge of coconut.
• Palate: The dried berries remain lively on the palate, developing raspberry notes, followed by light oak, white peach and a small amount of spice.
• Finish: Vanilla overflow, with spicy but sweet cinnamon acting as a final flourish
